since 2016

The whole idea stemmed from accessibility, as it was not easy to get hold of delicious quality vegan food back then. We wanted to provide accessibility through our delicious innovation and create a positive change in the food system for future generations. We started as a small market stall back in 2016 to build our brand, we then developed from market stall to events, pop ups, festivals and progressed to opening our first ever restaurant in Shoreditch in March 2018. We have grown to operate three restaurants in Shoreditch, Brighton and Manchester, as well as creating our gorgeous products which are sold in retailers worldwide.

Doing it our way

  • 2016 - 2017

    ★ Established The Vurger Co.

    We began trading in August 2016 in a small market stall in Tottenham.

    ★ First pop ups.

    We then progressed to operating pop up restaurants and events.

    ★ Crowdfunding Success.

    After amassing an amazing following, we decided to Crowdfund to open our first Shoreditch store.

  • 2018

    ★ Open our 1st restaurant in Shoreditch.

    We opened our doors to our first restaurant in March 2018 to queues around the block.

    ★ Gaz Oakley appointed our Executive Chef.

    We appointed Chef Gaz Oakley as our Executive Chef, he oversaw all recipe development.

  • 2019 - 2020

    ★ Launched vegan sauce range.

    We launched our range of Condiments in retailers across the UK and now Worldwide.

    ★ Delivery Service and Online Store.

    We launched our Online store to ensure our customers could access our products wherever they were.

    ★ Opened 3rd restaurant in Brighton.

    The pandemic couldn’t hold us back, we opened our store in Brighton in July 2020!

  • 2021 - 2022

    ★ Opened our 4th restaurant in Manchester

    We opened our 4th restaurant in May 2022 in the Northern Quarter Manchester.

    ★ Award Winning Condiments

    'Smoky Bacon Vegan Mayo' was awarded Best Vegan Condiment by The Evening Standard.

    ★ Award Winning restaurants

    Won the Marie Claire award for Best Sustainable Fast Food Brand!
